Special
Interest Classes
| In the
afternoon, students have a choice of many classes which
are both academic and enjoyable. |
| Science, Math,
Social Studies and Humanities lessons are all offered, with an
emphasis on motivating students, and helping them appreciate the
value of education. A science class might study the life in a
pond or investigate the aerodynamics of a boomerang. |

| A
math class might construct a geodesic dome or find their way
through the woods with a map and compass. A social studies class
might play Native American Games or design and build a miniature
community. Humanities classes might compose woodland music or
enhance their senses with a blindfolded walk in the woods. |
|
| The
classroom teachers may request particular classes from our two
volume set of lesson plans and/or allow our teachers to teach
classes of special interest to them. |
