Located
right on
Lake Ossipee, Freedom is a gorgeous
site. With over one hundred
acres of land to hike on, we offer rivers, streams, a beaver dam, and
even beaches. Students love exploring the many different environments we
find here.
The
cabins at Freedom are extraordinary, with a variety of comfortable living
arrangements. The dining hall can hold up to three hundred people. When
they get the chance, visiting teachers enjoy a cup of tea or coffee on the
porch overlooking the lake.
We have
lots of indoor space here in Freedom, including a full size basketball
court and stage in the Rec hall and more relaxing space in Pahaska. Many
classes use the giant field, which is also a great place for free time,
along with the outdoor basketball and soccer courts.
By the end of a long day, there is nothing like watching the sunset
behind the
White Mountains
across the lake while
sitting in the sand. This is one of the most beautiful views in
New England
.
